Hi! I’m Alex, the owner of Threadway Embroidery, welcome! Threadway Embroidery is based in Telford, and run by me, with the support of my friends and family. I take pride in providing high quality products and unique items you’ll be proud to wear.
I started Threadway in July 2021 after becoming unemployed, and deciding it was time for me to do something brand new, exciting, and slightly scary. Starting a business ticked all of those boxes, so I bought a second hand embroidery machine online and created Threadway Embroidery!
I’ve spent a lot of time combing through the products my suppliers offer (they have a lot!), and speaking to brands at trade fairs, to ensure that as much as possible, the products I use are sustainably made and fully traceable. This means knowing where the manufacturing process takes place, ensuring that the people making the clothes are fairly paid and treated well, and using materials and techniques that are less damaging to our planet.
Those who know me know how much I love anything sparkly, so it’ll be no surprise to learn that my absolute favourite products that I sell are my Glitter Flow Tumblers, they’re so much fun to make and I use mine regularly for iced coffee!
Something I love about running this business is being able to get to know my customers, and working with them to create a product that works for you, that you can be proud to wear. It’s so fun to explore different options and experiment with new ideas.
